Registering a New Student

Welcome to the Las Lomitas Elementary School District. We look forward to meeting you and your family.  School offices are open the second week of August through the end of June each academic year.

Registration during the Current 2020-2021 School Year

 

Students moving into the district during the school year can register at the schools from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm (Las Lomitas Elementary) and 8:30 am to 3:15 pm (La Entrada Middle), Monday through Friday.

 

To begin the registration process for Kindergarten through 8th grade, bring the following to the school office where your child is to attend:

  • PROOF OF RESIDENCY (Phone/Cell Phone bills will NOT be accepted)

    • Three documents can only be a combination of the following:

      • Current Property Tax Bill OR

      • Signed Lease/Rental Agreement OR

      • Notarized Affidavit from Property Owner of Parent/Student Residency

    • AND

      • Two Utility Service Bills

      • We need the originals so that we can copy it for your student's file.  If you have only just moved, a letter from the utility companies stating that your service is to be started will suffice until you receive regular bills.

  • DOCUMENTATION OF AGE - Evidence of the child's age may include:

    1. A certified copy of a Birth Certificate or a statement by the local registrar or county recorder certifying the date of birth.

    2. A duly attested baptism certificate

    3. A passport

    4. When none of the foregoing is obtainable, the parent/guardian may provide an affidavit (Education Code 48002)

  • IMMUNIZATIONS RECORD - All immunizations must be current/completed prior to your child beginning school.  If the immunizations records are not in English, please provide a translation.

You will be asked to fill out:

  • A Registration Form, which includes your child’s previous school information.

  • A Records Request form, which allows us to request your child’s school records from their previous school.

  • A Language Survey, which is required by the California Education Code.

Upon receipt of all the items listed above, you will be given a code to access InfoSnap, our on-line registration system, where you will continue the registration process click here to access InfoSnap.

 

Please Note: Your child cannot attend school unless all state required immunizations have been met.

Pre-Registration for the 2021-2022 School Year

 

Kindergarten Pre-Registration for children who will turn five on or before September 1, 2021 opens on Monday, January 25, 2021.  Please note that Las Lomitas School District does not offer Transitional Kindergarten. To begin the Pre-Registration process for Kindergarten through 8th grade, bring the following to the school office where your child is to attend no earlier than January 25, 2021:

  • ORIGINAL birth certificate or passport
  • Your child’s immunization records to date
  • Proof of residency in the form of:
    • Current rental property contract or lease, mortgage paperwork, current year property tax bill, OR notarized affidavit from property owner of Parent/Student residency 
  • AND
    • Two ORIGINAL utility bills from different companies (i.e. power and water) 

*​Cell phone bills do not qualify as proof of residence

 

Registration office hours are 9:00am to 3:30pm at Las Lomitas Elementary School and 8:30am to 3:15pm at La Entrada Middle School, Monday through Friday. 

 

You will be asked to fill out:

Upon completion of the on-line registration, you MUST bring a hard copy of these forms to the school office to FINALIZE registration.  Your child will not be registered at Las Lomitas or La Entrada until we receive your on-line registration papers.

 

Please Note: You will not receive a class placement letter unless all state required immunizations have been met.

Important Notice Regarding Immunization Requirements

All students enrolling in the Las Lomitas Elementary School District (LLESD) must satisfy California State Immunization Requirements prior to enrollment. Please see the Shots for School website for a guide to the requirements.

Students enrolling in LLESD from outside of the United States are also subject to the immunization requirements of the State of California and will not be admitted until all requirements are met. We will need proper documentation of your child's immunization with English translation as necessary to verify the records.

Please note: Your child will not receive class placement until all state required immunizations have been met.
